A motorised Profurl headsail reefing system is available in electric or hydraulic drive units. These models have a high output and Profurl's legendary reliability. Nearly every Profurl manual headsail reefing system can be converted into an electric or hydraulic model simply by replacing the existing drum mechanism with the Profurl gear motor.

Reefing or furling a mainsail in the boom is the best design solution. Profurl models offer a unique design with total reliability and many patented features. Years of thorough research and extensive testing has resulted in a mainsail reefing system that is simple to operate from the cockpit and requires NO maintenance.
 
HALYARD BRAKE

The PROFURL halyard brake allows you to operate your in-boom system with only one hand. The halyard brake keeps an adjustable permanent tension on the halyard when reefing and lowering the mainsail. The halyard is free running when hoisting the mainsail. The Profurl halyard brake also acts as an efficient halyard exit.
